![]() | The Westbrook Station Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) for the area surrounding the Westbrook Station is now complete. The Westbrook Village ARP is the first Plan to be prepared for a station area on the West LRT Corridor. This Plan articulates a vision and policy framework for redevelopment in the vicinity of the Westbrook Station. The area has a number of large parcels of land, such as the Westbrook Mall site, that allow for varied and comprehensive redevelopment opportunities. These opportunities will be sensitive to the adjacent existing communities, such as the single detached areas. Highlights of the Westbrook ARP include a Multi-modal Transit Hub and Plaza, Retail Rejuvenation, Mixed-use Development, Pedestrian-focus, Compact Development/Higher Densities, and Public Open Space. The previous work and analysis conducted by the West LRT Land Use Study (download Part 1 - PDF - 2 MB and download Part 2 - PDF - 8 MB) was an important contribution to The Westbrook Village ARP. |
Other Station Area Plans city-wide are taking place for select existing stations, such as Chinook, Anderson, Lion's Park and Brentwood. For more information on these other Station ARPs, click here.
