Service Area
Located between 16 Street and 17 Street S.W., adjacent to the CP Rail Line, Sunalta Station will primarily serve the communities of Sunalta, Connaught, Scarboro, and Downtown West.

Station Design
Sunalta Station is the first elevated station on the CTrain network, and the only elevated station on the West LRT line. The station will include escalators, stairs and elevators, and will feature a mezzanine area below the platform.

The design elements of the station include a steel frame, copper roof, laminated douglas fir-larch beams, and glass panels. The station uses a slightly tilted elliptical shape to maximize southern exposure while protecting the platform from winds. On the south side, louvers provide sun shade, allowing dappled sunlight into the station.

This station is a walk-on station, which means there will not be a Park and Ride location nearby. Calgary Transit patrons will arrive at the station by Calgary Transit bus, walking, cycling or by private vehicles.

Surrounding Area
Sunalta Station will feature a plaza area, as well as a pedestrian bridge to the adjacent Greyhound Bus station.

The station is in close proximity to Shaw Millennium Park, the Bow River pathway system, and the 10 Avenue business corridor.
