![]() | The Shaganappi Point Station is located in the median of Bow Trail just west of 26 Street S.W. Calgary Transit patrons will access the station at the intersection of Bow Trail and 26 Street S.W. via a crosswalk. It will open for revenue service in December 2012. This station is a walk-on station, which means there will not be a Park and Ride nearby. Calgary Transit patrons will arrive at the community station by Calgary Transit buses, walking, cycling or by private vehicles. The Shaganappi Point Station will primarily serve the communities of Shaganappi, West Sunalta and West Scarboro. Highlights of the Shaganappi Point Station area include a third eastbound traffic lane on Bow Trail east of 33 Street S.W., a new pedestrian bridge at 24 Street S.W. and the station's close proximity to the newly reconfigured Shaganappi Point Golf Course. The geographic tie to Shaganappi Point and the historical significance of the location were consistent with the Municipal Naming Policy that governs the naming of stations and other City owned assets.
