On Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, The City hosted a public open house at the Rosscarrock Community Hall to showcase the new West LRT alignment (west of 38th Street S.W.), and the new 45 Street Station design and location. The new design is the result of Council's decision on Oct. 5, 2009, to lower the 45 Street Station below ground in an open trench, which eliminates a groundlevel crossing at 42nd Street and 45th Street on 17th Avenue S.W.
