Mayor Bronconnier Announces Design-Build Award

On Oct. 29, 2009, Calgary Mayor Dave Bronconnier kicked off construction of the West LRT Project when he announced SNC Lavalin and its partners were awarded the design-build contract. The joint venture team also includes Graham Infrastructure, Cana Construction Ltd. and Enmax Power Services Corporation. Moving forward, the design-build team will begin preparing the construction sites and lay down areas over the next few months with construction beginning in early 2010.

SNC Lavalin brings a wealth of design-build experience to the project as they just completed the construction of Vancouver's Canada Line.
