LRT Tunnel Construction at 33 Street S.W.

Crews will begin to construct the LRT tunnel through 33 Street S.W. during the week of July 26, 2010. This construction kicks off a few temporary and permanent impacts to traffic in the area. Impacts include temporarily closing 33 Street S.W. for three months, permanently closing 12 Avenue S.W. access and permanently realigning Bow Trail.

Sarcee Trail Interchange Construction

As part of the West LRT project, ground was broken on the Sarcee Trail/17 Avenue S.W. Interchange. The interchange will provide free-flow traffic on northbound and southbound Sarcee Trail and more efficient traffic flow on eastbound and westbound 17 Avenue S.W.
